Nemacolin Resort
My Thoughts – Review of Nemacolin
I spent a long weekend at Nemacolin in August 2025, staying at The Chateau, and honestly…I had the best time. The resort sits on 2,200 acres in southwestern Pennsylvania, and once you arrive, it feels like a little world of its own. You can be as busy —or as lazy—as you want, and either way, it totally works.
Here’s what to love:
Let’s Talk Food (Because It’s That Good)
If you love good food, you’ll love Nemacolin. Dining ranges from very casual to full-on fine dining, depending on your mood.
My two personal favorites:
Gusto – fantastic Italian
Aqueous – amazing seafood
And afternoon tea in The Bleu Room? Such a lovely, slow-it-down kind of experience. This is absolutely a resort for food lovers.
Activities for Days (Seriously)
Nemacolin is one of those places where no one ever says, “I’m bored.”
Golf, Tennis, Pickle, Spa, So Much More or Nothing at All
Golfers—Mystic Rock and Shepherd’s Rock are both Pete Dye designed courses and are must-plays.
Tennis & Pickleball
Spa lovers—head straight to the wood-paneled spa sanctuary for hydrotherapy, massages, or simply some quiet time in a plush robe.
Mini golf, bowling, skeet shooting, fly fishing, archery, Jeep off-roading, zip lining, ropes courses, axe throwing at The Peak, sand volleyball, paintball, horseback riding, climbing wall, wildlife encounters—and in the summer, separate adult and kids pools.
Nemacolin is full of surprises—an incredible art collection (including a Picasso).
Prefer to do absolutely nothing? Grab a blanket and take in the mountain views. Permission to relax: granted.
Staying at The Chateau
The Chateau is Nemacolin’s Virtuoso property and has that classic, elegant feel—without feeling stuffy.
One of my favorite perks was the butler service on the Club Floor. My favorite detail? Morning coffee delivered every single day to my room…on a silver tray. It’s such a small thing, but it made the stay feel really special.
Extra Perks When You Book with Lubrano Travel
When you book The Chateau at Nemacolin with Lubrano Travel, you’ll also receive Virtuoso amenities, which add real value to your stay and enhance the experience from the start. These include:
Room upgrade on arrival (subject to availability)
Daily breakfast for two
$100 Resort credit per stay
Welcome amenity
Early check-in and late check-out when available
Final Thoughts
What I love most about Nemacolin is that it gives you permission to slow down. There’s no rush, no pressure—just time to reconnect, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the mountains with a little (or a lot) of luxury sprinkled in.
If "relaxed elegance in nature" sounds like your kind of getaway, Nemacolin is waiting
